The Last Prophecy is a mult-brand MMORPG gaming guild that originated in the first MMO brought to the internet, Ultima Online in October of 1997. Some of us have been gaming together for over a decade, and as such we've travelled through various games together. Currently we're active in two games, Dark Age of Camelot and World of Warcraft, with Warhammer Online soon to be our third once its released at the end of the year.

We are committed to engaging in every aspect of the games that we play, sharing and enjoying each other's company. From PvE to PvP, we want to fully immerse in the experience, while forging and maintaining real life friendships between our guild mates. We are very much a family and treat our members as such, and expect our members to treat each other as such.

For the most part, with the exception of a few youngins, we are a mature gaming guild consisting of husbands, wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, college graduates, business owners, lawyers, doctors, nurses, etc. Gaming is something we do for FUN, it is not what we live for. We encourage a time-friendly environment that allows members to have REAL LIVES. So unless you are missing for more than 6 months with no contact, your characters can maintain their memberships in our guilds. We are not "hard core" gamers, we are casual, but focused experienced players.

The Last Prophecy uses a standard loot council system for distributing raid, multi-effort loot within its various games.

TLP-WoW Guild Only Events
For guild-only events the leadership bases its loot distribution largely, but not entirely, on guild attendance and participation to raids it schedules throughout the week. Leaders make sure that the merit system is updated on Sundays, by end of day. They can access the merit attendance system by clicking on MERIT at the top menu. Loot is distributed based on THREE KEY FACTORS: Raid attendance (measured by Merit Points), practicality (how much of an upgrade that item is for you and/or how much that upgrade favors the guild in general for progression), and player attitude (are you patient, pass on things that are only a marginal upgrade but benefit the guild, you arent a loot whore and ask for everything). Usually guild leaders will ask everyone that needs a piece of loot that dropped to link their current pieces to help judge practicality.

For non-guild only events, we reserve 1 or 2 pieces and allow OPEN ROLL for the rest.

TLP-WoW Applicants
Any applicant that is currently on their 30 day probationary period will continue to rack up merit points for their attendance efforts. However, for 15/30 days they are taken out of loot distribution until they have class leader/officer approval. After 15 days they will enter loot rounds at the lowest priority. Once members complete their 30 day probationary period they will have earned the right to full rotation on loot distribution based on the 3 key factors listed above, same as everyone else.

TLP-DAOC Guild Only Events
For Dark Age of Camelot, loot in DAOC is much easier to attain. We usually involve the guild members in attendance in loot distribution for guild-only events. For non-guild only events, we reserve 1 or 2 pieces and allow OPEN ROLL for the rest.

For Warhammer Online, we have yet to really know how loot will work there.

Initiate (Rank 9) This is the initial recruitment rank where we will try you out to see if you are a good fit for the guild. ----

Servitor (Rank 8) After spending the minimum time necessary, you can be promoted to Servitor. 30 Days

Arbiter (Rank 7) After your 90 days, you can be promoted to the rank of Arbiter. You gain the right to the court. The court is where we select members to become ranking officers or class leaders based on how much effort you put into helping the guild grow and progress. 90 Days

Disciple (Rank 6) At 120 days, you become a high court member, as such, you are expected to provide assistance to members and you should expect to be considered for high ranking positions in the guild. 6 Months

Protector (Rank 5) After a year with the guild, you can be promoted to Protector, which means you are a Senior Member of the guild. You gain access to the Senior Member and are privy to certain decisions and have access to the Senior Member forums. Senior Members are the first selectees for officer, pvp/pve leader, and class leader positions. They are the highest ranking members in the guild and when an officer is not availble they are able to speak on behalf of the leadership council. 1 Year

Tempter (Rank 4) Tempters are class leaders for the various classes in the games that we have active chapters to. In games where appropriate, the class leaders form the LOOT COUNCIL and make decisions on who gets what from the PvE encounters we face based on that persons contributions to the guild in the form of time, seniority, helpfulness, and advancement. Tempters have their own forums to discuss performance of the guild in their respective areas between the Leadership Council and Commanders, in addition to the Senior Members forum. Tempters can be selected from any proficient member of Arbiter rank and above (part of the court). Tempters also have Ventrilo Admin rights to be able to manage members while using Ventrilo. ----

Commander (Rank 3) Commanders are PvE leaders and PvP leaders that show a proficiency in leading those types of guild events. PvE Leaders are also part of the LOOT COUNCIL in an advisory role to provide feedback for class leaders on members when it comes to encounter loot distribution and have access to the Class Leader forums. PvP Leaders are also part of the LOOT COUNCIL by default, if they maintain an active role in PvE activities as well they can participate and provide feedback on the Class Leader forums. If they are solely focused on PvP, they do not gain access to Class Leader forums. All Commanders have access to the Senior Member forums as well as Officer forums. Commanders can be selected from any proficient member of Arbiter rank and above (part of the court). Commanders also have Ventrilo Admin rights to be able to manage members while using Ventrilo. ----

Inquisitor (Rank 2) As game-specific Officers, Inquisitors are solely focused on one of our gaming chapters and have all the rights and contentions that any officers would in the game. They are also part of the LOOT COUNCIL and provide feedback on members to Class Leaders and Raid/PvP Leaders. They have access to all the guild bank tabs, except the Leader's tab and have access to all private forums for their game. Inquisitors can be selected from any proficient member of Disciple rank and above (part of the court). Inquisitors also have Ventrilo Admin rights to be able to manage members while using Ventrilo. ----

Chancellor (Rank 1) Chancellors are special Officers in such a way that they are overall officers for the entire guild. Chancellors have experienced gaming with us in various other games and usually move and/or play within more than one chapter of the community that is TLP. As such they have ultimate power and are second to none other than the Overseers. They command all aspects of the Leadership Council --- from selecting Inquisitors, Commanders, and Tempters, to handling promotions, demotions, managing loot distribution issues, attending to all member to member relationships, and guild to guild relationships. They are in charge of allegiences between guilds and authorize all formed alliances and war decisions, should the game call for it. Chancellors are placed at this rank in ALL games they choose to participate in, regardless of level, knowledge, or skill. Its a position of absolute trust. Chancellors have access to ALL guild banks, ALL forums, and are involved in day to day decisions made for the ENTIRE TLP community. Chancellors also have Ventrilo Admin rights to be able to manage members while using Ventrilo. 3 Years

Overseer (Rank 0) Co-leaders and founders are called Overseers. Only 3 original founders could ever claim to be absolute GUILD MASTERS of any chapters that TLP involves in --- Demonic, Danitsia, and Olorin. Co-leaders can be selected for chapters of the TLP in various games. Co-leaders are Chancellors that have an interest in continuing the TLP name when founders move from game to game to set up new chapters. They should have in depth knowledge of the founder's vision and abide by all rules and regulations set forth. They can appoint Inquisitors, Commanders, and Tempters for their game, however Chancellors are chosen with the assistance of the Founders. To be appointed an Overseer for a TLP chapter , you must have been a member of the guild for no less than 3 years, shown great aptitude for leader and would need to have been a Tempter, Commander, or Inquisitor for the chapter in question first. Overseers have access to ALL guild banks, ALL forums, and are involved in day to day decisions made for the ENTIRE TLP community. Overseers also have Ventrilo Admin rights to be able to manage members while using Ventrilo, and are also site administrators for this site and forums. 3 Years

Blasphemer (TIME OUT) This rank is used solely for the purpose of cooling down members that are involved in heated arguements within alliance chat channels or guild chat channels. They are prohibited for a SHORT TIME from speaking or hearing alliance chat and guild chat until they have truly cooled off. Usually an Inquisitor, Chancellot, or Overseer will place a member in this rank and immediately follow a tell or private channel conversation with that member to mediate the arguement. PLEASE UNDERSTAND YOU ARE ONLY PLACED HERE FOR A FEW MINUTES AND WILL BE RETURNED TO YOUR REGULAR RANK SHORTLY. 15-30 Minutes

We began this journey originally as the Children of Darkness (CoD)... back in the day when UO was just in beta, and we had been elected to test this new concept of online gaming. As testers we developed a community within Ultima Online - the grandfather of all massive multi-player online games. We were about 600 total beta testers back in those days. Most of which decided to join together when release was rolled out. We first started in the one shard EVERYONE started in, Atlantic. But very shortly afterward, we made our permanent home on Catskills. The date... Oct. 17th, 1997.

We grew in popularity with our rather radical concept of "OPEN" RP. In other words, to be in CoD you did not need to be a strict role player, nor a strict PvP'er. Two communities which seldom saw eye to eye. We planted our seeds in the form of a castle, which we intended to be a private sanctum for our members and ONLY our members... and so Vamp's Lair was placed and born. Next to our castle, we placed a stone keep, which was appropriately named, The Blood Keep. In it we set up our theme, a theme which I wrote out of my love of another game, which utilized your imagination rather than your keyboard; Vampire: The Masquerade. Children of Darkness took on the role of the leader of the Ventrue Clans, as such, the leader of the Camarilla; one of 4 sects I used to divide the world of Vampiric Role Play in UO. All four Sects were most usually at war with each other --- that idea was later copied by OSI into what is now known as Factions...

Vamp's Lair grew in # of public visits... which led us to open it up as a public city. The castle, which was once private, went public to service the community as a MALL. We held as many as 73 vendors in that castle all properly stocked and our claim to fame was that our city was a PvP Oriented city... "A whut?" you ask? Yes, our city welcomed, with certain exceptions, all those that played a part in the PvP community. This feat was not well accepted within the RP community... my attempt was to bring the two together, and so I did. Vamp's Lair hosted a sleuth of tournaments that included not only the "elite" PvP'ers, but also the die hard Role Players... all to much fun, fame, and riches. We ran one of the only two popular and successful PvP Ladders (the first ran by UDL), in where prizes included 10,000,000 million gold and a placed tower right outside of Destard.

But then OSI was bought over by EA (Electronic Arts) and the UO we once knew and loved faded as it gave birth to a split that I had for so long tried to narrow... Trammel. The role players packed up and left Felucca, where my blessed city resided, and dared not to travel into Felucca again... which much sadness, CoD retired for we found it no challenge nor fun to attempt to live in two worlds.

But all hope was not lost, as we saw the up and coming challenge of re-creating our glory within a new game, Dark Age of Camelot. We choose Lancelot as our shard, and Midgard as our realm; following our close ally, Xiled From Humanity, over. Many of us decided to stay in UO, but most moved over to DAOC to rejoin their long time friends, in early 2002.

Within Lancelot, we struggled as a young guild, but quickly amassed even more members -- new blood. These of which are now lifelong members and would never leave this guild (according to them.. hehe). We created The Greater Alliance (TGA)... and brought Midgard to new levels of organization and cooperation, since the former top alliance did little if anything to forge the close relationships needed to lead a whole nation. The hard work of every GM that actually put forth an effort into the alliance showed... and quickly we were untouchable - unlike Midgard had ever been. For about 5 months TGA would not let a SINGLE keep fall without retake/defense efforts set up and perimeters and porting keeps guarded. All thanks in LARGE part to the efforts of TLP members, and its leaders - Demonic, Olorin, Danitsia, Berry, Igot/Bjorvald, Psychotic... etc etc. TGA in its glory days was one of the most organized alliances thanks in part to the collaboration of Danitsia and Yano, GM of Lost Vikings.

After the retirement of Yano and her husband Rardis from the game, Lost Vikings changed hands over to Tarnish, who had issues with Danitsia and didn't feel it important to keep the collaboration alive. After another guild was removed for failure to abide by the rules set forth in the alliance, guilds started being recruited away from TGA to rejoin the former top alliance, Kindred, where they have the say they want; not the say that is fairly vested to them. Four days after the majority of the guilds left TGA back to Kindred, we lost all four of our relics and all our keeps were taken and Midgard simply could not organize enough to retake or defend our own turf. After all our hard work and efforts, TGA fell... and Midgard has never had the same priority for defense it did with in it.

TGA may have seen its demise, but TLP definitely did not... we pressed on and devoted our time to JUST our guild and what few guilds we had left --- one being Hearthguard, who set their beliefs on TLP's leader, Danitsa. We helped each other level and used our alliance as an extension of our guild chat - we formed rather strong relationships with HG and Virus23, a predominantly RvR-oriented guild that pretty much invented the art of 8man PvP.

Through the years our guildies have migrated to and from this game, we've visited other games such as Shadowbane and World of Warcraft but none hold a candle to the magnitude of things we accomplished in this game during the early years. We love Midgard and always have its best interest at heart, but mostly we like to have FUN.

Our core players are currently enjoying other games, primarily World of Warcraft and some even have access to Warhammer Online beta, but I am sure we'll all meet again. Some of us have gone on to become steadfast RL friends that we talk to on the phone and fly around to see and visit with. Its a great community of online friendships...
