Guildies,

Wrath was a complete success... with uninterruped game play!! WOOT. Go Blizzard. As a result we've seen a lot of folks in the guild step it up and get their leveling in like Jettison and Natoka, who are pretty much guaranteed to be the first lvl 80s. For the rest of us, we've been leveling quite nicely given our "casualness"... some of us DO have REAL lives. :) As a reminder for anyone that has joined us POST-Release of Wrath, please note that you are not elligible for our "Loot Card" promotion, that was for pre-existing members/applicants.

As previously mentioned, we will not be scheduling much raiding (if any) in the coming weeks as people are focused on leveling, but as soon as we can get a 10 man raid of capable level 80s, we will start raiding Naxx. Our Wrath raiding schedule will look something like Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays starting up between 7 and 8 PM EST (Server Time) and Sundays starting in the afternoon at around 3 PM EST (Server Time). Note that Naxx is really going to take LARGE MANA POOLS for healers and STRONG DEFENSE for tanks. You will need to plan on re-gemming for INT and DEF to be able to get us through it. The more level 80 gear you have, the better. We'll really need to plan on hitting heroics like crazy once we're all level 80. We may actually not get to down anything in Naxx off the bat, so be prepared for lots of deaths; stock pile gold for repairs.

The guild bank is also open once again for deposits, BUT we're only accepting the following items in the bank. ALL other items will be deleted immediately.

- Frostweave Cloth
- Borean Leather
- Dream Shards
- Small Dream Shards
- Infinite Dust
- Cosmic Essences
- Raw Meat and Fish (Northrend Only)
- Patterns/Books (Northrend Only)
- Junk Greens/Blues (Northrend Only)
- Gold

Thank you!

TLP will be implementing a "team" building plan for leveling through come LK release on the 13th. This will allow members to step up to the plate and create "teams" within our member bases that will coordinate leveling for those members. Team Captains will be responsible for coordinating their own schedules with their group mates to help themselves level up.

If you feel you could lead your team to level 80 faster than anyone else, there is a treat for you. 1000g to the first team that gets to level 80 by coordination and strategy to share among 5 of you, plus you get a "GET OUT OF JAIL FREE" card for the first raid loot we get from LK instances. Meaning you and your team mates would get first dibs at any loot item you wish, bypassing our loot council rules. But there is a catch --- ALL team members MUST hit lvl 80 before any other team does. Can't be 4 of you lvl 80 and 1 lvl 79... no.

If you are interested in leading a team, please send me a PRIVATE MESSAGE through our forums and let me know who will be part of your team. Your submissions must be made BEFORE November 10th.

Once we all hit lvl 80 and have done some of the raids in Wrath of the Lich King, I fully intend to come back to Sunwell Plateau to earn achievement credit for killing Kil'jaden. Until then, we might schedule it for trash runs or to try to do 1 or 2 encounters, if we have the geared folks for it.

I have put up a test run for Sunday to see if we can get some of the trash cleared and at least step foot inside the instance before the release of LK. Note that as a young guild, having re-activated this chapter only in June, we're doing extremely well. I know that the encounter nerfs of patch 3.0+ have helped us a ton, but its still an accomplishment as Blizzard intended it.

Since the encounter nerfs that came from patch 3.0+, we've been able to move very quickly through what is left of the BC content. Moving onward we have, in only our second time ever in BT, been able to rush past the first 5 bosses --- all the way to Bloodboil. I fully expect us to complete the rest of the instance in the coming few weeks.

We will still need to work on getting our healers and tanks some decent SHADOW RESIST gear in order to be capabale for the Mother encounter. We will have to work as a guild to make sure we our healers and tanks geared up for this encounter. I really want to see folks attend these raids with no less than tier 4+ geared characters. I do not want to see folks with greens and even blues (1 or 2 blue trinkets arent a big deal, but when the majority is blue, yes that's a problem) come on these raids. Any tier 6 level dungeon needs to be reserved for those of us that have paid our dues and have our best gear on. Don't worry, we will come back to this instance for those folks that never got to see it as an achievement run as well as the other BC instances.

Get ready TLP, WAR is coming!!

For those of you that have enjoyed playing with TLP in DAOC, we welcome you all to join us in Warhammer Online. The official list of servers was released a few days ago and after much go-round between guildies and fellow DAOC'ers, we have chosen the following as our LIVE GAME servers:

PRIMARY: WASTELAND-ORDER
SECONDARY: SEA OF MALICE-DESTRUCTION

It's bitter sweet for us as we close the curtain on Dark Age of Camelot. We had some great times there and we met some WONDERFUL people and made some great friends. While that chapter has been slightly dormant lately, its time to just put it to rest. I am not sure if we will be coming back to it again, but we do have our accounts and most of us are probably going to hang out to them for a while. I predict that maybe they will be shutting down DAOC in leui of more WH servers, but that's not til maybe a year or so from now. All TLP-DAOC'ers are welcomed to keep their tag if they so chose and if you guys need anything from the guild vault, it will remain there and I will have an active account, at least for the remainder of the year.

Please request access on our forums if you do not have access to private areas if you are already an existing or past member of TLP that wishes to join us in WH. If you are not but wish to be, please fill out an application on our forums. Stay tuned for more announcements!

Thanks!

Congrats TLP! You did it...again!

Congrats on downing Lurker Below yesterday in only our second time stepping foot into that instance. Everyone did great yesterday, too bad we could have had him last week I am sure if we hadn't ran out of time. Hopefully the guild will be making some changes that allow us more time to bang out the strategies.

And a few days ago we also finally completed Zul'Aman by downing Hex Lord again and then moving on to down Zuljin. A VIP award goes to our healers that day --- Aingyll (my girl), Holybleep (my boy), and our new ubericious shaman, Suljin (no pun in his name is intended? or maybe it is!). Without our amazing healers he's a tough SoB! Downed him aftter 3 attempts. :)

Congrats TLP! You did it...

Today was a big day for us, we have great success in ZA as we downed Hex Lord Malacrass aftrer 11 failed attempts. Can't say we have no perseverance huh? LOL Well it was tough but a big shout out to Aingyll who suggested we try to just quickly kill the adds instead of trying to keep them CC'd like everyone else was saying. Maybe that's what worked for them, but for us we just worked quickly through the adds killing them off and that worked on the second try for the strategy.

Then if downing Hex Lord wasn't enough, we wen to TK and downed Void Reaver in our second try, although we still have a lot of trouble with trash mobs. Then we decided to push through and hit up Solarian. We had 2 failed attempts on him but by the 3rd we totally had it!! Great job on everyone for adapting and learning.

Some of our applicants didnt make the cut during the TK run, but that's to be expected. How you can agree to something that's clearly stated in your application with us, and then get mad when we enforce it is really beyond me. Applicants in this guild cannot expect ANY LOOT for at least 15 days, period. They may get any left overs that no other guildies need, but they are not a priority. We do this to properly weed out those people that are just looking to guild hop their way through some epic gear.

I decided to work on a new website design that will promote our guild as more of a WoW and Warhammer guild as we say goodbye to DAOC. Welcome to the new website... So I slaved and slaved for weeks trying to find the time to design, cut out, coded out, and tested the new site design and everything looked great, so I decided to roll it out today for everyone to enjoy.

Let me know if you like it or if you find anything wrong with, send me a PM or email at dani@tlp-guild.com!

Congrats to the guild on getting past Void Reaver of Tempest Keep. We look forward to Solarian and beyond and also starting on Serpentshrine Cavern very soon!

A big effort from everyone that showed up. Thanks to Trayne for MT'ing for us, always nice to see the big guy in the driver's seat. A big thanks to the officers that were in attendance, thanks for all that you help me with.

And last but not least, thanks to the 5-6 non-guildies that helped us flesh out our 25man raid. :)

The Last Prophecy is a mult-brand MMORPG gaming guild that originated in the first MMO brought to the internet, Ultima Online in October of 1997. Some of us have been gaming together for over a decade, and as such we've travelled through various games together. Currently we're active in two games, Dark Age of Camelot and World of Warcraft, with Warhammer Online soon to be our third once its released at the end of the year.

We are committed to engaging in every aspect of the games that we play, sharing and enjoying each other's company. From PvE to PvP, we want to fully immerse in the experience, while forging and maintaining real life friendships between our guild mates. We are very much a family and treat our members as such, and expect our members to treat each other as such.

For the most part, with the exception of a few youngins, we are a mature gaming guild consisting of husbands, wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, college graduates, business owners, lawyers, doctors, nurses, etc. Gaming is something we do for FUN, it is not what we live for. We encourage a time-friendly environment that allows members to have REAL LIVES. There are no requirements for attendance in this guild, although you should try to connect with members via Ventrilo or instant messengers (AIM, Yahoo) or on our forums. Unless you are missing for more than 6 months, your characters can maintain their memberships in our guilds.

This guild uses /random 100 for all loot that is distributed in either DAOC or WoW. We do not keep any type of loot records or point systems for any of our games currently. If you show up and contribute you get to roll on loot.

Congrats to TLP-WoW on downing two bosses in ZA yesterday. This proves that we can continue progression thru the instance and add it to weekly schedule of raids.

Our best geared folks went into the Zul'Aman with very little knowledge of what to expect. We had set aside a goal to clear just the first boss, the bear boss, and see how well we do. Well led by myself and Dreadknight, we did absolutely awesome as we not only downed the first boss with just 1 wipe on him, we moved over to the second boss and only had 1 wipe on him before killing him. Congrats to Keliy and Traeter on their new gear and to the whole guild for the awesome work!!

We will be working on putting consistent ZA runs every week hence forth and spots will be reserved for our BEST GEARED. So if you are in the guild and havent done Kara too much, you will first need to attend our Kara raids regularly and farm up some much needed gear to be picked for the ZA runs.

Right now, we're booking Monday and Tuesday for ZA next week to give us two days to clear thru to the third boss, although that may change. So please keep checking back with us here on our website.

With the new addition of One Nation Under Horde's members to the guild, we should be able to have a consistant showing for our raids. We've been struggling to find good healers and tanks that can consistently attend our Sunday raids and One Nation Under Horde has decided to join our ranks to better increase their chances of raiding the high-end content. We've also been adding new members as part of our recruitment efforts and are growing so hopefully we'll be able to tackle some of the 25-man instances. Its a good thing that Blizzard decided to cut back the number of people required to raid instances to 25 from 40. It sure makes it a bit easier to bring people together for a common purpose.

We will be starting a Wednesday/Thursday night split run for Karazhan that will run in ADDITION TO our normal Sunday raids. This is because 1) we have members that cannot attend the Sunday runs and 2) we've grown and would like to offer raiding opportunities to our new members. Dreadknight will be leading this effort on Wednesday nights. Also take some time to read through the guides for Karazhan so that you are more familiar with the boss fights BEFORE you join the raid. Helps the pace of the raid move much faster.

On Friday night, we'll be progressing through to Zul'Aman and making our first attempt at the first boss there. The strategy can be found on WoWWiki . Members should also visit The Pillage Zul'Aman Guide Site for in depth information on how to tackle this boss as well as the ZulAman.com website. I have added these links to the sticky post on our WoW Raid forum.

To CONFIRM availability for one of our raids, please visit the WoW Raids forum, click on the raid posted and then REPLY to that topic with your available time frame for the raid. Please remember that confirming attendance doesn't always mean you are SECURING a spot. We need to ensure the best possibly group make-up, so please be patient with us.

Thanks a ton!

TLP is a guild that enjoys both PvE and PvP within WoW to certain degrees of success. As such, one vehicle that we will be utilizing is "practice" teams. These team will allow members that have not experienced arenas prior to "get their feet wet" and play with other guild members to develop their style and expand their pvp skills.

Beginning on July 1st and ending on July 31st, we will be creating permanent "Elite" teams with those players that ranked highest during those 30 days. The highest ranking player with a score of 1700 or above will win a promotion to the "Tempter" rank, which is our pvp leader rank, and will captain the teams. They will also enjoy a 1000 gold grand prize for their efforts. Second place will get 500g, while third will get 100g.

Tempters for our guild historically have been those players that show the most aptitude in pvp combat. As such, they are granted certain abilities with that rank that places them in the role of "junior officer". With it, comes certain duties and expectations. Those are listed here...

1) You must play the minimum games allowed per week for EACH team you captain. You can captain one team or all three teams if you choose to depending on your availability.
2) You must retain a good rating for the teams you captain.
3) You will only invite guild members to your teams.

To get an invite to a practice team, please let me know in game on June 15th.

TLP's WoW edition reactivates as we join forces with some of our former members to have some PvE fun, with some PvP tossed into it. Hoping to organize a few players to raid Karazhan and other high-end instances in preparation for the new expansion, Wrath of the Lich King, which will allow 10man or 25man versions of each instance. Looking to start our raids at like 8 to 9 PM EST and playing until about Midnight, every other day.

For DAOC players, if you guys have WoW accounts and Horde characters on other PvP servers and wish to transfer them over, our server is Mannoroth/Horde. This way if you get bored with DAOC one week or its slow, you can log in and join us... as well as WoW'ers that have DAOC accounts can join us for the RvR runs. Keep in touch and stay connected. In an effort to bring these two games together, we will be uniting the Ventrilo servers into ONE accessible server, which DAOC players currently use today --- TLP.VENTRILO.ORG Port 3797.

Just looking to get some cool PvE in, since DAOC is really lacking in that aspect and looking forward to playing Warhammer Online --- as such I've updated our guild's main image to reflect our three games of interest. :)

Now since most of our guild has completed templates for at least one character, we have new RvR goals that will need to have all of us strictly RvR'ing from here on out. We will occassionally do some PvE to help others (most likely on Mondays, which are our "free days") so try to keep you list of things needed up to date on the forums.

We will no longer be running guild dragon raids because there is simply too many of those being run every day. Guildies need to be pro-active and try to join those raids to get their items. Also let's work together as a guild --- if you roll high enough on a raid and see an item that a guildie needs (but not your own) try to get that item for our guildies. That's what being in this guild is about. If you no longer need any items from the dragon, try to attend one or two here and there and help other guildies get their stuff. HELP EACH OTHER OUT.

Our new goal for the month of April and May is to consistently hit 3 million RPs earned per week. Right now we're just slightly over 2 million and I think we can get it done. We need to break into the top 10 overall for all servers, all realms. We're currently number 18 so we're not too far away having already broken the top 25 overall for all servers, all realms.

From now we will also ONLY RECRUIT players that have level 50s and are somewhat decently templated and have MLs and CLs completed. The only exception to this rule will be IRL friends of current members or if we need a specific class bad enough --- for example SHAMANS and SKALDS. We have shamans and skalds in the guild, they are just not able to be online during peak time or not online enough. Primarily seeking shamans and skalds that play on the EASTERN coast time zone.

Other than that guildies, good work on getting your characters up to snuff. A lot of you really worked hard to get there in the past few months and I am proud of you for it. :)

Let's kick some ass!!!!

As a guild we'll be needing to achieve a certain set of goals together by the end of March 2008. Firstly we really need to concentrate on finishing off our group character templates, with guild only dragon raids now being available for guildies to join in on to help with this tidious task. We really need guildies to focus on 1 or 2 characters, and possibly 1 stealther. There are a couple of things you will need to do to get yourselves signed up for the dragon raids.

  1. Please register on our forums with your main character name.
  2. Request for private forum access. You have three private forums --- Member Discussions, Guild Only Events, and Real Life Photo Album --- that you will gain access to.
  3. Be sure to read the sticky posts in the Guild Only Events forums and add your reply to list the items from the dragon that you are still in need of and to let us know what days and times are best suited for you to attend.
  4. Try to attend any other public raids --- Master Levels and Dragon Raids and Artifacts --- to help speed up your character building. We're lucky to be in a great alliance, so you can certainly use that to advance within the game. Take initiative and start a group to get things done.

Our goal for the end of March is for all our guildies to at least have ONE groupable character ready for RvR. As of April, we will have a very aggressive RvR schedule weekly basis with only a few days here and there devoted to PvE/character building.

With that will come the need to establish some RvR Leaders within the guild. We're seeking characters that are RR7+ to become RvR leaders. We have several aspects of RvR Leaders --- some stealthers, to seige crafters, to 8v8 leaders, to relic leaders. Check out our Members Discussion forum and read the sticky on the break down of our guild ranks and what they are in charge of.

Is your guild dying or dead? Did you just transfer over to this server? Find yourself lonely and having a hard time making friends? Recently re-activated to find that you don't know anything about this game anymore? Join us. We're in the same boat. I recently re-activated, and some of my core players have also, but the vast majority of my guild has moved on to other games (primarily WoW) and new experiences. So we're seeking to make new friends and hopefully run some RvR groups in the near future.

We enjoy doing 8man, 16man, and large scale RvR, but do love the 8man encounters best (not that I am any good at it hehe). We respect other Middies, so I do not condone assjamming other 8man guilds. I find that they in turn respect me back and I become fast friends with a lot of them, enough to be able to call on them for help with other goals when I lead large-scale RvR efforts --- a nod to guilds like Lagged Again, Virus23, and Gimps, who always helped me out when I needed it.

What we're currently looking for is really ANY CLASS that is level 50 or close to it, has some decent gear (maybe still working on it), and gotten through some MLs (or working on that too). You don't have to be "ellite" or play every single day --- matter of fact not all of us play everyday. We're primarily an EASTERN time zone guild, but welcome anyone across the country that can devote a few hours a night here and there. We WILL RvR A LOT!!!! Taking maybe 2-3 days a week tops for PvE stuff (I do run some raids on Tues and Thurs) but that's to help get folks the gear they need, so you may even benefit from it.

Since reactivating I've been checking out the new items and templates that are out there for both my healer, Dani, and my SM Cierra. In my quest to update my characters for pvp, I've noticed that many folks have been having trouble getting the items they need. Apparenty the loot rules have changed so drastically that no one cares to help each other out, only about how much they can sell these items for and don't care about their fellow realm mates.

Well, that's never been something I entertain or condone in this game. When I am part of a realm, I am truly part of that realm and want to see it be its best and the gamers that spend their time here mean a lot to the realm, so helping them seems natural for me. So I have devised a plan that brings back an oldie but goodie rule to loot distribution --- NEED BEFORE GREED.

In my raids, folks will register and post their item wish list (can be as little or as much as they wish) and then set TWO items as their priority items. If they attend my raids, they get to roll on their priority items ONLY against other players in attendance that have also set those items as their priorities. If no items drop that make it to anyone's priority list, I go through the entire wish list and pick folks out of those secondary lists to roll on that item. If NO ONE has a particular drop on either a primary or secondary wish list, then that item goes to OPEN ROLL and anyone that is in attendance can roll for it, regardless if they have already won something or not. The limit is ONE WIN per primary round, however folks can roll on secondary items as much as they need to (as long as its listed) and the open roll items.

This systems seems to be working and its gotten raves and praises from those that have attended. Some folks had been either unlucky in rolls with the RNG (random number generator) or have gone on raids where their item has dropped only to be awarded to someone that is now selling it for 200+ plats!! No more.. I say. Soo hop on the bandwagon and post your items on our forums and come to the raids. I promise you will get your items a BUTTLOAD faster this way. :)

FOR MIDGARD!!!!

While I have enjoyed my time off for about a year from all gaming, I really do miss DAOC. I quit gaming altogether to concentrate on my business ventures and now that those are doing so well for me, I have more time to return to DAOC... I plan on picking up right where I left off doing the things that I enjoy doing --- MLs, Artifacts, RvR, 8man PvP, etc. etc.

Since I've been back, the guild Fenris, led by the incomparable Kasalla, has toted me around for a few days and everyone's been so nice. I really truly want to thank them for opening their arms to this old timer. Hopefully we can continue to run together and have a blast. I've had so much with them, I like the two-group mini-zerg even tho people give Fenris a lot of shit for it. Like I've always said --- its your game, play it your way. I have fun running with Fenris, and I have fun running with 8mans, just the same. I also have fun doing massive RvR with all of Midgard rallying for the same cause. That's how I've always played this game and will continue to do so.

I am eager to get my own two man group running, so I am hoping to start recruiting some new people that enjoy all aspects of the game. So I am going to put my feelers out there and see if I meet some new friends to roll with under the TLP name. What I am looking for is of course level 50s that would enjoy 8man PvP, 2-group mini-zerging, large-scale RvR, MLs, artifacts, PvE Raids such as Dragon Raids, Labrynth raids, DF raids, etc. They should also be willing to at least HEAR voice communication on our 100-user premium Ventrilo server, that I've also reactivated. I am looking to be online on the weekends and maybe 1 or 2 days during the week, so casual players would be welcomed.

Hopefully once the guild comes back full time and we have some new members, we'll also try and rebuild our small alliance. Maybe even convince TBA (The Band Alliance) to come back?? Who knows, I gotta get a hold of Igot/Bjorvald, my old co-GM that was crowned GM of TBA. <3 TBA!!!

See you all out there and GO MIDGARD!!!

So in review, I think Warhammer Online will be our next MMORPG. I find the storyline fascinating and it seems to bring elements of both DAOC and WoW together. I just hope that it does not make us a slave to the game in the same manner that WoW did. I seriously do not want to spend MONTHS leveling a character only to spend TWO YEARS getting the gear she needs to be viable in PvP. This is why DAOC is still such a contender for me. If I need to spend 3 weeks on a business trip, I know that if I want to spend 3 or 4 hours playing DAOC that my characters are all done (TOA/ML10/RR6+) and I can just log in do whatever I want to do and then log out without any extensive commitment to it.

When I left DAOC for WoW originally, I really enjoyed the game... WoW was/is a great game with an awesome storyline and any fan of Warcraft (which I am) was certainly in awe of what Blizzard had accomplished. I spent 8 months in that game. Took me two months to level to 60 with my TLP buddies and my old school UO buddies. My guild had great leaders --- Mordeth was great (a real nice guy, good friend) and most of the officers were pretty awesome. Very knowledgeable people and real POWER gamers -- especially the UO folks. WoW for me was a "reunion" of my old UO friends who met up and joined some of my TLP friends.

But there were inevitable problems with the game. Most of the people in my guild save for maybe 5 or 6 were adults --- in their mid-twenties to mid-thirties. They had families and full time jobs or businesses they had to attend to. WoW isn't a game that caters to those kinds of people. So our small, yet powerful guild, was just not going to be enough to contend in the higher level dungeons. We had to start recruiting new people --- pretty much FORCED into it. Although we found some really good folks, some were not all that great to have around (real troublemakers). Our 5 or 6 under aged members grew to be more than half of our guild. The adults were now the minority.

My idea to create an inter-guild alliance (much like the success I had prior with TGA here in DAOC) was frowned upon at first, for sure. But as it turned out, it was probably the best idea anyone in Mannoroth/Horde ever had. And other guilds surely casted their stones at us, but we made it work. We cleared Molten Core... at which point our guild (Invidious/Reroll) had pretty much grown to a level that we could run MC ourselves, without the other guilds in HA (Horde Alliance -- yes that pun was intended hehe). The other guilds in the alliance weren't very understanding of this, of course they needed us more than we needed them at this point. Politics got in the way and I had to make the decision to disband the alliance and go our separate way, which did cause the break in allegience with some of former HA guilds. We did however, give them 30 day notice before we started to run our own MC/BWL raids; we didn't just "take off".

We were doing great, getting real far in MC on our own and we had taken out Ragnaros (the last boss in MC), we were doing Onyxia in like 20 minutes, and we felt we could start BWL strategies and everything. Problem was, and its STILL the major problem in WoW for any gamer, is that we were raiding like 4-5 times a week!! People would certainly show up to the MC and BWL runs, but when it came time to show up for Alterac Valley runs, hardly anyone logged in. We were pretty much FORCED into being a PvE guild on a server that was designated a PvP server (Mannoroth). It got to be WAYYYYY too much for me... and I really really missed the ability to just gather up 8 random people (or a guild group) and go kill shit. MLs and Artifact Raids were CAKE in comparisson to trying to do MC or BWL raids ---- its just NUTS!!! Imagine having to HAVE 30-40 people to even ATTEMPT an artifact raid?!?! For example. CRAZY.

That's what I REALLY REALLY hope does not happen in Warhammer... I hope that the PvE is pretty much the same as DAOC, I know that the PvP is going to be very similar, I just hope they do not make it so that if you have a small guild of say 15-20 you aren't FORCED into having to recruit unknowns to get to a specified number to be able to attain viable gear.

Thoughts? SHARE THEM HERE!
