| World of Warcraft Policies |
Guild Attendance Policy
Guild members are required to review the GUILD EVENTS FORUM for their weekly guild raiding schedules and respond when they are not able to be online for a particular day. Every member is REQUIRED to attend listed raids if they are online and raid-ready and you will be expected to be ON TIME and ready to attend that raid - we call it PREPARED AND REPAIRED. If you do not show up without an explanation, you may be deducted up to 10 merit points from our attendance record system.
Online Availability
Guild members that are online during raids, whether that be is alts or their mains but doing other activities, should be prepared to be asked to join a raid if needed. If they are short on time, that's fine, please let us know so. But everyone should make an effort to attend raids that are planned. Plan accordingly.
PUGs
All guild members should save their Raid ID's for GUILD EVENTS first. Viable level 80s should not PUG raids that the guild has events planned for. You are allowed to PUG raids when you have missed GUILD EVENTS.
Do NOT save yourselves to other 25m raids prior to the guild event.
Leadership Respect
TLP Leadership (Co-Leaders, Officers, and Raid Leaders) are to be respected. Do not disrespect them, for that is grounds for immediate dismissal from the guild. You are to listen to whatever they tell you to do without question. If you have a grievance, please seek the ear of your guild master. There is an open door policy in this guild.

| Loot Distribution System |
TLP is Loot Council loot distribution guild. Loot is earned by attending raids, performing well up to and above standards, the practicality of the item upgrade vs. others in need for it, and your level of committment shown to guild progression and advancement. The Loot Council is made up of the GM's, Co-Leaders, and Officers that are in attendance for that raid. The merit system is used as a tool to gauge attendance and is visible for all members to see.
Merit will hold a strong validity in making those decisions and players will still be asked to link their current items in RAID CHAT for all to see, and folks can still /roll for offspec items. The FOUR factors that will weigh in on the decision making are: attendance, performance, practicality, and commitment. I will break those down for you guys.
ATTENDANCE
Merit has and always will be a measure of raid attendance. Raid Leaders have the responsibility to post in the "Raid Attendance" forum any raids that need to be added to the merit system (whenever Dani isn't in attendance). Members have the responsibility to ensure their points are distributed in a correct manner. If you have attendance record disputes, please post them in the Raid Attendance forum with the raid date and points missing and which characters/account they should be awarded to.
PERFORMANCE
Yes, if you are performing really exceptionally, have the merit, and have completed your 30-day initiation period, you do have a higher chance at loot than those that do not pull their weight. Especially DPS classes. Healers and tanks have a much more liberal performance meter -- like not dying stupidly, managing your threat generation, etc. etc. But our DPS needs to perform well to be chosen for loot distribution. For this reason, Raid Leaders/Officers will be taking WoW Web Stats and comparing it to other guilds and assessing each members viability in their chosen role.
PRACTICALITY
The main reason you are required to link your current items in raid chat is so that we can measure practical upgrade from your current item to the item in question. The LC will actively try to upgrade the guild from the bottom up. Also this gives a chance for guildies to pass on items when they themselves see another guild member benefiting more than they would from that upgrade. We EXPECT all members to take other members into consideration when making loot decisions.
COMMITMENT
As a progression guild, we're seeking members that are devoted to fulfilling the vision of the founders and helping the guild progress through content AS A WHOLE, not the individual. The Loot Council will be measuring this in many ways --- time in guild, preparedness for raids, punctuality for raids, passing on small upgrades for guildies, helping guildies get certain items, using your professions to the advantage of the guild, donating to the guild bank, etc. etc. These are the things that will rank you higher when it comes to loot distribution.

Merit Attendance Record System
We measure attendance by means of point values that assigned to each of the bosses we encounter in Wrath of the Lich King (no merit is awarded pre-Wrath and only bonus merit is awarded for 10m's if you kill a newly encountered boss). As you raid with us, you continue to gain merit that will increase your chances of getting loot. You get a pre-determined amount of points per boss and also can acquire bonus merit. Bonus merit comes in 4 forms for Wrath of the Lich King --- Progression Bonus, Sit Out Bonus, and Hard Mode Bonus (for bosses in Ulduar). Also you can be assessed de-merit for not listening, failing to come prepared and repaired, being late or not showing up to a raid you did not provide an explanation for, etc. etc. Raid Leaders can assess de-merit and will post those on the forums --- officers/leaders will approve or reject those actions.
Sub-armor Type Rolling
This guild DOES NOT allow people to link for main spec on items that are sub-armor types to their own. Meaning no hunter will be allowed to link for leather, no warrior would be allowed to link for mail, no moonkin is allowed to link for cloth. You must stick to your own armor type and only when the Master Looter calls for sub-armor type rolls would you be allowed to take said item.
Offspec Sets and Moonkin Cloth
When you /roll for offspec sets, the top roll wins the item. They can choose to pass on it, and then it would go to the second highest roller. With the introduction of dual specs, we have taken it a step further when it comes to acquiring offspec sets from non-main raiding instances like Malygos and Naxxramas. Members are able to dedicate entire runs in those instances to their offspecs (with the exception of KT items) if they tell the raid ahead of time, especially the Raid Leaders and Officers.
Moonkins best in slot items are in fact sometimes CLOTH items. Once we have identified those items, we will allow moonkins to link for their primary specs for these items, however, if a cloth wearer should link for that item and not wish to pass, they are still the priority. Moonkins however do become a priority BEFORE it would go to offspec rolls. This holds true for all instances we raid.
Practicality of Item Upgrade
The Loot Council will ask for any member of our raid that is interested on a particular item to link their current items in /raid chat. The reason we do this is to allow everyone in the raid to see what items from all interested players could use the upgrade the most. We call it practicality, and we expect all our members to withdraw their "bids" on items in lieu of helping other guildies out who would benefit the most from the upgrade if its only a side-grade or marginal upgrade for them.
Tanks and Healers Are a Priority
In this guild, as well as most guilds, the priority is to gear out our tanks and our healers first. Loot Council will come into play in these situations and prioritize TIER PIECES. DPS classes will have to wait a bit longer to attain certain loot pieces, regardless. This is done to be able to sustain the guild raids through tougher content. If the tanks and healers are well geared, they can pretty much carry the others through anything. We will usually start out with the 25m MT's and Healers and work our way through to our OT's and Off-healers (classes that can respec back and forth through various roles). Please keep in mind, your turn will come and when it does and our tanks and healers are super geared, your turn will come when there are much more lucrative items to attain --- thanks to our tanks and healers being able to push us into that content.
Guests (PUG's) in Our Raid Groups
If we have to seek outside help to fill empty spots, we must award those guests the chance at loot. If we didn't, they would not come. In those cases that a guest wants a chance at that item, that item goes to OPEN ROLL and anyone in the raid with an interest in that item can and should roll for it. If the guest wins the item, he/she gets it, however if a guildie wins the roll, they do not automatically get that item, it would go to normal guild procedure for loot distribution. With this system, the guest gets the same chance he/she would if it was a complete PUG raid and we still get to award loot that guests do not want in accordance to our loot rules. Win/Win.
Applicants and Loot Priority
Those that are added to the guild during an OPEN RECRUITMENT session are applicants and not yet part of the guild even though they have been invited to the guild. They are on trial for 30 days. During their trial period, they are considered lower priority. That does not mean they don't get a chance at those types of loot, but for the most part they are not allowed to "bid" against a full member of the guild for tier tokens and certain Best in Slot (BiS) items. Any member ranked above "AMATEUR" is considered a full member of the guild. TLP has this in place because too often we're "visited" by guild hoppers that show little to no loyalty to the guild, if we did not have this in place the guild as a whole wouldn't progress.
